Hello, My name is Shane and I have been playing Bansuri (Bamboo flute) for almost 5 years now. I am currently taking lessons via skype from one of Hariprasad Chaurasia's disciples who lives over in Mysore, Karnataka. I lived in New Orleans for a couple years and found a tabla player there, and we used to get together and dabble in this beautiful ancient form of music. Anyway, I am originally from Pittsburgh and I just moved back here a couple weeks ago. I am looking to see if there are any players of Hindustani Sangeet in the area. Whether you sing, play Bansuri like myself, Tabla, Sarangi, Tanpura, Sitar, ect... Any instrument in the classical field is fine. I would really love to meet up, play, and see where it goes :)
