I specialize in Dixieland, Ragtime, Swing, and Early Jazz. I am knowledgeable about different styles and have a repertoire of over 400 tunes covering 1900 to 1940. I am a multi-instrumentalist, playing clarinet, soprano sax, alto sax, bass sax, trombone, cornet, piano, banjo, guitar, drums (1920s style and more modern). I play all those at about the same level of ability. I know the roles of each of those instruments and I consider myself an authority on authenticity. I don't have a problem with rehearsing. I can offer quite a few You Tube links if desired. I have played with trios to 16 piece bands. I also have access to quite a list of other players in the genres. I am located in Long Beach. I am fully vaccinated and require everyone involved with any activity to also be fully vaccinated. I realize that this newest surge is a bummer but my hope is that eventually we'll be able to play out again - hence, this hunting expedition. My downside these days is that I don't have very good reading chops anymore, but I make up for that in ad lib ensemble skills. I also prefer sitting down but if necessary I can march for short amounts of time. This music is just too good to let it expire. Maybe we can keep it going. Larry
