Description

Hello all! We are an established band playing original music, seeking a new piano/keyboard player. We are looking for someone who enjoys playing in various styles, and being a part of a creative team that writes music as well as performs it! The best way to get a feel for our music is to listen to a few tracks; you can hear our two albums Don't Blink (2016) and All We Have Is Today (2019) on any streaming service (Spotify, Apple Music, Youtube, etc.) or on our website here:  www.thecasimireffectband.com We’ve been playing together for about 5 years, during which time we’ve rehearsed weekly and played paying gigs regularly. Obviously this was disrupted last year due to COVID. In recent months we’ve gotten back into the practice of playing together weekly and even done a couple gigs, but as you are probably aware, gigs are a little harder to come by in this current environment. For that reason among others, we are currently focusing our efforts on writing and recording our third studio album. We enjoy a very open and creative collaborative process in which everyone’s ideas are heard and valued. This has been an extremely fun and rewarding process in the past, and I hope that the quality of our first two albums speaks to that. It is also our hope that by the time we are finished, we will have an easier time finding gigs and return to playing gigs more regularly. I feel I should also mention that while we do take our music very seriously, this is first and foremost something we do for the love of doing it- no one here is looking to quit their day job. We would be looking for a one-night-a-week commitment from you, and you can expect to be paid for all gigs played with us (pre-COVID, each member made around $100 for a 2 hour gig). Thanks so much for your time, and please let us know if you'd be interested in setting up an informal audition!  Sheet music for all of our songs can be provided upon request.  Have a great day! All the best, Daniel The Casimir Effect
