H&M Renovations is seeking a motivated, quality-driven and experienced Jobsite Technician / Carpenter / Worker to join our team. JOB SUMMARY: The Jobsite Tech role requires a proactive, experienced and dependable person who has construction jobsite experience. You will be responsible for a wide and varied range of day-to-day construction activities as directed by the Site Lead and will generally report to a specific jobsite until it is completed. You will be responsible for operating and maintaining various tools, machines, load and unload frequently heavy materials, and follow directions from supervisors and other skilled tradesmen. To do well in this role you should be physically fit, reliable, and be a hard worker. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: • Operate, organize and care for power tools, construction equipment and machines. • Help equipment operators, carpenters, and other skilled labor when necessary. • Prep construction sites by cleaning obstacles and hazards. • Load and unload construction materials. • Put together and take apart temporary structures, such as scaffolding. • Remove, fill, or compact earth. • Follow instructions from supervisors. • Assist craft workers. • Ready to learn from on-the-job training when necessary. • Perform site clean-up. • Follow all safety procedures on the job site and report violations immediately to management. • Maintain a safe and clean job site by handling materials and storing them properly, picking up and removing all tools and equipment when not in use, and securing the job site on a daily basis. • Open up and shut down the jobsite daily. • Assure alarm systems, cameras are powered up and motion detectors are in place before closing the jobsite for the day. REQUIREMENTS: • Must have valid driver license and a dependable vehicle. • Be at least 18 years of age. • Ability to work 8-10 hour days, Five (5) days per week. Potential for Saturday work. • High school diploma or equivalent • Ability to work in all weather. • Must be punctual and reliable. • Must have experience as a general laborer, carpenter or other role in the construction industry. • Other experience a plus: Rough & finish carpentry, framing, cabinetry, roofing, siding, windows & door installation, flooring, drywall finishing, paint, tile, basic understanding of plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and natural gas. • The applicant must have the ability to regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Must be able to perform other physically demanding tasks associated with construction.
