We are a local fire damage restoration and reconstruction company in Rochester, NY. We specialize in helping families and property owners rebuild and restore their property after a fire loss. We are seeking an experienced interior/exterior painter to join our growing fire damage restoration and construction team. Job duties: • Apply paint to multiple different surfaces • Prep surfaces (i.e. scrape, sand, caulk and prime) • Lay drop clothes and/or plastic • Clean surfaces • Clean brushes/equipment and vacuum up dirt and dust • Remove fixture and move heavy furniture • Follow directions from project manager, job site foreman • Work on ladders 8-40ft • Act in professional manor on job site and around clients • Assist with other job-related tasks as needed when not painting, including general labor, demolition, moving supplies and materials, etc. • Other duties as assigned Qualifications • At least 1 full year of professional interior and exterior painting experience in residential or commercial environments, either independently or as part of a painting/construction crew • Highly attentive to detail and precision • Able to work independently under the direction of job site foreman and project managers • Reliable transportation • Trustworthy and professional • Knowledge of and/or experience working with smoke damage cleaning solutions and techniques, applying shellac-based sealant, and/or fire/smoke/water mitigation techniques a plus, but not required Opportunity for long-term growth exists for the right candidate.
