UNCG Interactive Realities Lab is conducting an academic study. What: Seeking participants for a 2-day study to examine whether tiny portions of the virtual environment that remain fixed in relation to the real world can reduce simulator sickness in a virtual reality environment. The task will be performed in an immersive virtual environment. This study will take 2 days, each session lasting approximately 30 minutes. During the virtual reality (VR) tasks participants may experience slight eyestrain, dizziness, and mild nausea. Who: All individuals must be 18 years or older. All participate in this research project must not have a medical condition related to vision, sensitivity to light, or are prone to seizures, such as epilepsy. All participants must also have a corrected-to-normal vision. When: It must have a 2-5 days break between the sessions. The time can be scheduled via the link provided after you contact us. How much: We are compensating individuals who finish our 2-day study. Compensation for the study will be $15/hr. The payment will be handled via PayPal.
