DOG UNIVERSITY in Vienna VA has immediate openings for Doggy Day Care Team Members. Employees MUST be able to work at least two days per week. A patient and caring attitude and the ability to multitask in an environment full of distractions is a must. Willingness to learn new skills, follow instructions carefully, and work as part of a team is also required -- respectful communication with coworkers is crucial. This is an entry level position with potential for advancement. We only promote from within. Some specific job duties include: -Active supervision of group play. -Cleaning. -Feeding and administering medications for boarding and daycare dogs. -Cleaning. -Basic dog grooming such as nail trims, baths and de-shedding treatments. -More cleaning. -Education regarding dog behavior and health. -Poop pick up! Position requires some period of time being outside with the dogs in cold and hot weather. -Clean a little more... We will train you! Basic requirements for ALL DOG UNIVERSITY employees include: HS graduate or equivalent All applicants must be at least 18 years of age Ability to work some holidays (we are at our busiest during major holidays) Love for ALL dogs and the smells, sounds and silly behavior that comes with them Communication skills: Teamwork is required Ability to complete required tasks in sometimes adverse conditions.
