Nice job! Here's a hidden gem most people don't realize: That line you quoted (below) is in the first LAW of the USA. Yep, it's not mere history as people have been led to believe. Here's the myth kids were taught in school: (1) The founding fathers wrote the Declaration of Independence--but now its a historical document only (2) They fought a war (3) After several failed attempts at law/government which have all been replaced, they came up with the first written supreme law of the land to form government, the Constitution. (4) People are taught, Ignore everything before the constitution as "it was replaced". Conveniently under the guise of the "we the people" in the preamble (which isn't even part of the LAW document), you're to worship the Constitution as the LONE savior document that keeps government power in check. (5) The founding fathers were so smart as to throw off one yoke, just to acquire another. MYTH CORRECTIONS: (1) The Declaration of Independence isn't mere history, its written LAW (3, 4) The so-called failed attempts, actually managed to "defeat" the British (defeat as in negotiate peace). The Constitution isn't the first law, its actually the 4th law. In order to interpret it, one must read the other three before it. The other three limit the scope of the 4th. That's how law works. The supreme law of the land clause applies to proprietary territory won from the King of England in the 3rd law (shhh! as long as it remains territory owned by the United States of America )---and future land acquired like it. (Chances are, you don't live there.) You won't find the words rescind or replace in any of the law documents to indicate replacement of the first 3 laws [that pertain to the first 3 law documents]. Actually if you followed the "replacement" myth for one of those law documents, you would retroactively eliminate the style "United States of America". (There would be nothing "for" the next law document). All 4 documents exist in perfect harmony as law--its just NOT as government implies they work and what they don't want you to discover. (5) The founding fathers weren't that dumb. Patrick Henry, upon seeing for the first time the Constitution, actually proclaimed: "I smell a rat." (BTW: He was correct! "We the people..." worked well; its deceived generations of people.) WHY IS IT IMPORTANT THAT PEOPLE UNDERSTAND THE DISTINCTION BETWEEN HISTORY AND DOCUMENTS that are LAW? Why has it (i.e law aspect) been kept hidden from you? Because LAW can be applied to keep those claiming power over you, in check. Oh oh! Understand now why you're not supposed to know anything about declaring independence being law? Gosh, you could declare independence and because its written law, those bound to law would have to respect it. Peaceful! No war needed or violence necessary. "Native magnanimity". (But as the revolutionary war illustrated, government is not really that kind). Now, go back and re-read the document as a person claiming independence from government at any time. (In order to get a group of people free, they had to lay down the groundwork to free an individual.) For example, what law is mentioned? Is it government written law? The document is CHOCK full of gems: No wonder they wanted it known as "only history." It's literally a HOW TO GUIDE. Notice too, one doesn't need to set-up a separate government? Caveat: Independence BTW is NOT licensure for IRRESPONSIBLE behavior. That too is covered if you know where to look for it. Don't quote some court decision, history professor or law professor that doesn't reference his argument back to ONLY the 4 laws.
