Our company is growing and we are looking for a Closet and Cabinet Installer. We are a local manufacturing facility located in Indianapolis. We design, build, and install premium Closet systems, Pantries, Garages, Home Offices, Laundry Rooms, and Murphy Beds for residential and commercial clients. We need individuals who love to work with people and who want to be a part of providing a high-quality product that will remain in our clients’ homes for years to come. JOB DESCRIPTION As a closet installer, you will be hands-on in installing the number of systems that we have to offer in a residential or commercial space. You will also be assisting in moving the closet jobs throughout the shop process by maintaining timelines and upkeeping the quality of work that we strive for. You may also operate equipment in the shop to aid in the manufacturing of our products. QUALIFICATIONS -CARPENTRY SKILLS ARE NOT REQUIRED. WE ARE COMMITTED TO TRAINING AND PROVIDING GROWTH OPPORTUNITIES TO DEDICATED TEAM MEMBERS WITH POSITIVE ATTITUDES -Must possess a valid driver’s license and a clean driving record -Must have reliable transportation -Be able to lift 60 lbs. and be on feet for an 8+ hour shift -Must be able to work a full-time schedule (M-F) and occasional overtime -Be detail-oriented in regards to quality checking materials GENERAL OVERVIEW OF RESPONSIBILITIES -Install closets, cabinetry, and millwork as specified by design and shop drawings -Maintain a clean and organized job site at all times -Alert the design team to any changes during the installation; and report any issues with material or mechanical/equipment breakdowns -Demonstrate professionalism at all times when working in a customer’s home -Maintain tools and equipment required to complete your tasks ABOUT MERIDIAN CLOSETS Meridian Closets was started as a part of the Bedder Way Company, the largest manufacturer of real wood murphy beds in the United States. Bedder Way has over 21 years of experience in designing and building high-quality murphy beds and cabinetry, all while providing signature customer service to our customers. Meridian Closets operates with the same principles in mind in order to provide custom closet systems, cabinetry & murphy beds to the local Indianapolis market. Joining our team means that you’ll work closely with a talented team of designers, engineers, salesmen, and skilled craftsmen; in a fun, fast-paced office environment! COMPENSATION Pay: $13.00 - $18.00 per hour Job Type: Full-time -Incentives based on job performance, completion time, etc. (after trial period) -Compensation to offset the cost of personal health insurance -Initial and on-going training on product lines, installation methods, and tool/equipment operation. NO CARPENTRY SKILLS REQUIRED.
