I volunteer with a non-profit that does a food giveaway on Wednesdays. It is from 2 to 4pm. There is limited amounts of refrigerated groceries we receive, sometimes packs of chicken, meat, fresh vegetables. The food comes from stores in town, and given to various organizations to hand them out. It's a lot of random food, much of it non-perishable (canned food, pasta, sauces). If you have a need for food and basic hygiene items, I am posting this out there. Contact me if you would like to come by for the pickup time and I'll reserve a spot for you. Again it's 2pm - 4pm sharp on Wednesday. The area of town is just off the Dames Point Bridge. Please, only people who could use the help. I've seen how given away goods end up on store shelves, and that is just sad. If you have an actual food need, you are welcome to come.
