Job Overview: Full-Time (Year-round) Position. May transition between Hardscape and Softscape, perform Lawn Maintenance and Snow Management services. 2+ Years’ Experience in the Landscape/Building/Construction Industry and have two or more of the following skills: • Accurately measuring material • Masonry: Mixing techniques and application of mortar with appropriate tools. • Installation of Pavers /Patios/Decks • Walls: Natural Stone, Block, Retaining • Pergolas • Fireplaces, etc. • Drainage, Grading and Excavating • Water Features • Concrete Installation • Lighting Installation Education requirements: • A high-school diploma or equivalent is preferred for the Landscape Construction Laborer position Qualifications to be considered for this position: • Have a valid Driver’s License. • Knowledge of landscape design/build procedures, equipment, and guidelines. Physical Qualifications: • Position requires lifting, kneeling, balancing, walking, stooping, and repeatedly bending. • Ability to move and handle material generally weighing up to 50 pounds. • Able to work outside with regular exposure to varying weather conditions and temperatures. General: • Report Directly to Owner/Managers. • Coordinate tasks according to priorities and plans. • Competent in the use of equipment and tools, ranging from large earth-moving machines to hand tools • Understanding all facets of the installation process. • Ability to communicate and report effectively using the company means of communication. • Problem-solving skills. Additional Requirements: • Must have a reliable means of transportation • Time management • Dependability • Promptness • Self-starter/driven Work hours: • Available to work 40-45 hours a week, April through October • Available to work 25-40 hours a week, November through March • Available to work during winter months for snow removal Job Type: Full-time Salary: $17.00 to $20.00 /hour based on experience Experience: • Landscape Construction: 2 years (Preferred) • Landscaping: 2 years (Preferred) • Driver's License (Required) Work authorization: • United States (Required) Work Location: • Multiple locations in and around the Columbus, Ohio area.
