Acoustic String Band Seeking Banjo/Other Instruments

Meets

Aurora CO

Description

Who we are: A guitar, mandolin and bass player looking to add to our sound. We also have a fiddle/vocalist we add to the mix from time to time. We have a departing banjo player we're looking to replace, but are also open to other instruments/multi instrumentalists, so if the description below piques your interest, let me know, no matter what you play! We've put together enough material for 3 hour sets and are just starting to work to put gigs together around Denver and elsewhere. We get together 2-4 times a month to practice and jam. We like to have fun with our music while working to improve our sound and performance. We're looking for someone interested to slide into what we do and bring stuff you're interested in as well. Who we're looking for: We want to add to our sound with some additional instrumentation. We're looking to replace a banjo player, but are open to other instruments, so let me know if you do something you think will be a good fit. Another voice is welcome if you sing and not a deal breaker if you don't. We're looking for musical compatibility and personal chemistry. If you're interested in jamming on the back porch over a few beers to see if things click, hit me up. What we play: We're not a strictly bluegrass band and are looking for someone with a broad range of genre interest that matches ours. We do an eclectic mix of americana covers and standards spanning folk, country, bluegrass and blues, as well as a few originals. Some of the stuff in our current influence/repetoire includes (and not limited to): Del McCoury Doc Watson Grateful Dead Old and in the Way Phish Bad Livers Warren Zevon Jason Isbell Sam Bush Flatt and Scruggs Steeldrivers Colter Wall James Morrison Pure Prairie League The Gourds The Band
