Usher/Customer Service/Security backgrounds are helpful. Good communications skills and a business professional appearance are a must. You will be checking credentials (badges) for trade show attendees before admitting them to the show floor. Count on being on your feet or walking for a couple hours at a time. You’ll also be directing people to restrooms, luggage check, the taxi stand and the eating areas of the show floor. Hourly pay is $16.35. Work some or all of the following days and times. Sunday, Monday and Tuesday—Aug 15-thru-17. Available shifts: 7am-to-Noon. We also have available Noon and 1pm starts that last until 8pm. If you would like to work an especially long shift you can do a 7am start and stay until 8pm. Liberal breaks will be given. Sunday, Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday---Aug 22-thru-25. Available shifts: 7am-to-Noon. We also have Noon and 1pm starts that last until 8pm. If you would like to work an especially long shift you can do a 7am start and stay until 8pm. Liberal breaks will be given. You will be paid by check for days any days worked from August 15 thru August 22 on Friday, August 27. Those who work on August 23, 24 and /or 25 can collect a check on Friday, September 10. Applications will be taken in the Security Office of the Merchandise Mart on Tuesday, Wednesday & Thursday, August 10-thru-August-12, between 9am and 1:30pm. Please bring with you your social security card and State ID or driver’s license. The security office is located behind Starbucks on the east end of theMart’s first floor. The Merchandise Mart is easily accessible by public transportation; the CTA’s elevated Brown Line stops inside our building. Our address is 222 West Merchandise Mart Plaza, located immediately north of the Chicago River, east of Wells Street and west of Orleans Street.
