It is with a heavy heart that I write this post. Our beautiful dogs, who have been best friends for the past two years, have suddenly stopped getting along. We have worked extensively with them to reconcile them, but it is just not working out, and we are forced to give one of them up for adoption, free to a loving home.
Tessa is a female hound mix (that’s our best guess) who is 2½ years old, around 70 pounds, black and white, with brindle markings on her legs. She is playful, loving, and medium to high energy. She is sleek and pretty, and just loves people and playing fetch. She loves to run and get exercise, but can also just chill out by your side, especially if she has a chew toy. She is also fine with cats. Medical records available upon request.
Tessa has responded well to individual training, and complies with sit, stay, heel, and down commands, but as Tessa has reached social maturity, the established hierarchy is no longer working. She is a great dog (everyone who meets her wants to take her home with them!), but, sadly, she can no longer peacefully live with our older dog, and we recommend that she be the only dog in the household.
There is a small rehoming fee of $50, but Tessa will come with lots of chew toys to make up for it!
