This year we present 3 short films for kids. This year we present the following 3 short films for kids. Free admission + Popcorn. Limited Seats available. Camila Dir. Urzula Barba Hopfner | 2017 | 14 minutes. At 12 years old, Camila is going through a difficult time. She is a girl that rarely interacts with her classmates. She is withdrawn and finds shelter in art and in her sketchbook. Camila is sad, and the inability to explain that sadness is something that will greatly baffle the adults in her life. Defectuosos Dir. Juan Fernández López, Gabriela Martínez Garza | 2012 | 10 minutes. An old puppeteer devotes his time to collect defective and abandoned dolls from dumpsters. With great passion and dedication, he turns them into likable puppets that star in his street show to be, once again, valued and acclaimed by children. Gina Dir. David Heras Muñoz | 2015 | 9 minutes. Gina is a girl who was born with a chicken costume. Her dream is to dance son jarocho, but the costume is a big obstacle. With her mother’s help, she will go to great lengths to make her dream possible. Language: Spanish with English subtitles. It's mandatory for visitors to wear a face mask regardless of vaccination status at the time of the film screenings, in view of virus variants following the CDC recommendations. Este año presentamos los siguientes tres cortometrajes para niños: Entrada libre + palomitas. Cupo limitado. Camila Dir. Urzula Barba Hopfner | 2017 | 14 minutos. A sus 12 años, Camila atraviesa por un momento complicado. Es una niña que interactúa poco con sus compañeros, vive retraída y encuentra refugio en el arte en general y en su cuaderno de dibujos en particular. Camila está triste, y la incapacidad por explicar esa tristeza, es algo que desconcertará de sobremanera a los adultos que la rodean. Defectuosos Dir. Juan Fernández López, Gabriela Martínez Garza | 2012 | 10 minutos. Un viejo titiritero se dedica a recoger muñecos defectuosos, abandonados en los basureros. Con gran pasión y dedicación, convierte a estos personajes en simpáticas marionetas que ahora protagonizan su espectáculo callejero y vuelven a ser juguetes apreciados y aplaudidos por todos los niños. Gina Dir. David Heras Muñoz | 2015 | 9 minutes. Gina es una niña que nació con botarga de gallina, su sueño es bailar son jarocho, pero el traje representa un impedimento. Con ayuda de Regina (su mamá), harán todo lo posible para hacer ese sueño una realidad. Idioma: español con subtítulos en inglés. Es obligatorio el uso de cubrebocas, sin importar si ha sido vacunado, durante la proyección de los cortometrajes debido a las variantes del virus y siguiendo las recomendaciones del CDC.
