The Heart and Soul of JazzCome experience the profound resonance when two performers are fully in tune with each other.
Stan Strickland and Greta Bro have been performing together for decades. For them music is not just about sound, it's a whole body experience which penetrates the deepest recesses of one's psyche as well.
Take a journey with this duo as they explore vocal and instrumental improvisational soundscapes during an evening of Afro-Cuban Jazz.
More about the artists:
Stan is an associate professor of voice at Berklee College of Music and executive co-director of Express Yourself, a multi-cultural arts agency that serves mentally ill youth through the Department of Mental Health.
Greta’s soulful and sensual vocal style and her intensely personal approach to performing has brought her strong rapport with audiences. She has the ability to make each member of the audience feel as if she is singing to them alone.
The unforced sincerity and soulfulness of Greta Bro’s voice will touch you deep inside. Absolutely lovely.
