I wish I had offered a lift, or at least stopped to wish you safe travels — I was on my way to pick up 7 chairs and could only have driven you as far as Grinnell. In another life I’d get to hear where you’ve been and why you’re headed where you’re going. Your smiles were super sweet and the sun was glowing bright hazy orange as it started to set around 7 pm over the i-80 on ramp off of Dubuque St. in Iowa City.
