that there are no rehearsal studios in an area with a population of over 350,000 where there's hundreds of musicians. I grew up near Ventura, CA where the population is around 100,000 and there's 5 or 6 rehearsal studios in that city. And then when we did have one or two in the CV (which shut down during the pandemic and never reopened as far as I know), they were totally overpriced - $30 and $40 an hr. The average hourly fee for a rehearsal studio in Ventura County, LA, OC, and pretty much everywhere else in So Cal is $15 to $25/hr (and yes, that usually includes a PA and house drum set, and sometimes even a backline with a guitar and bass amp). Someone needs to open an affordable rehearsal studio here. Actually, we need at least 2 or 3.
