My son’s father passed away from colan cancer July 2, 2020. James, the boys father, was in the cattle business his entire life. He was always bringing home animals for the boys to take care of. Whether it be baby cows we had to bottle feed, goats, chickens, pigs.. he even brought home a miniature horse one time.. there were always lots of hungry mouths to feed. Before James passed he bought each boy a border collie. Now one year later, to no surprise, we have 7 baby border collie pups. They all look like their mother, Sadie, who is a very well behaved, a true ladylike momma. Probably one of the most obedient dogs I have ever owned. All the pups have silky smooth fur and tiny hedgehog paws. Wagging their tails is their favorite activity. The pups have just reached six weeks old and are still a little wobbly on their feet. They will come with their first set of shots and be dewormed. Pups are $400 each but a portion of that will be donated to cancer research in memory of the boys father, James. In case you didn’t know, Border collies have been nick named “intelligent workaholics”. They are a working and herding dog breed. AKA has labeled them as being loyal, alert, and one of the most talented, hardworking dogs around. They are highly intelligent, athletic and acrobatic dogs. They have a life expectancy of 10 to 17 years and will impress you with their intelligence and win you over with their eagerness to please. They have even been known to know the vocabulary of over 1000 objects. There are several even listed in the Guinness book of world records. Border Collie’s are also great acting dogs. Babe, Animal Farm, Snow Dogs, and Mad About You, all starred border collies. Many superstars have owned border collies including queen Victoria, Ethan Hawke, Tiger Woods, James bond, and Bon Jovi.
