This is a fun, casual bike ride led by Michael Cottle of Dirty Harry's Bicycle Shop.
You all know the joke: Pittsburghers sometimes need a little push to cross a bridge and explore a new neighborhood. This group ride will help you do just that. Typically spend your time on the Northside? You'll get to see Garfield. Really stuck on the East End? Come ride in historic Deutschtown.
Join us to explore the city and visit a couple of neighborhood breweries. We will meet at the parking lot next to Allegheny City Brewing and ride to the Point, along the Three Rivers Heritage Trail, and up through Allegheny Cemetery to Two Frays Brewery (and then back to ACB). The route will be a mixture of road and trail biking.
Ride at your own risk. Please perform your own pre-ride bike maintenance (check tires, brakes, chain & shifting) and come prepared with spare tubes, etc. Remember your helmet, bike lock, ID, and money for drinking.
Registration ensures we have have the appropriate number of marshals for the ride.
**We ride rain or shine.**
Michael Cottle has been in the bike industry since 1997 and currently leads a monthly Monday evening ride from ACB. He is a passionate advocate for exploring the city's many breweries on a bicycle.
