Greetings from the world of lost musical misfits in hopes of fulfilling that need to continue playing music as old farts.... 1) We're in our 50's. Former alcoholics, bedwetters, strippers, novelists, flashers, Gremlin car owners, and anatidaephobics. But other than that, we're really nice and good people... for the most part. You can be any age, but it gives you the kind of influences, genres, and decades we pull music from. Totally not against doing today's music (we're throwing Lord Huron, Lake Street Dive, Elle King into the set list). 2) We're an acoustic based band. Not against electric guitars, rocking out, or the volume turned up to eleven. But it's just where we're at right now. We're not above moving into that area in the future. But we're just right here, right now. 3) We have the following in our dynamic little trio: - male acoustic guitarist-lead guitarist-lead singer - female lead singer - male acoustic rhythm - lead singer - percussionist - Hopefully you'll be here and then can begin making the Avett Brothers nervous. 4) Still figuring out who we are, but one thing for sure is that we're very focused on harmonies. 5) If you like playing bass, singing or any other instrument that's great. We can and will implement it. If you only play guitar, that's great too. 6) We're playing covers and really enjoy making alternate versions of the originals, which is the thing everyone's doing right now - change the style of the song, transpose the song to fit our vocals, speed up or slow down, mash up with other songs, etc etc. 7) Originals - we're open to them and all of us write our own stuff. However we know covers are the way to get people to listen and enjoy themselves. 8) Not looking to play 2 nights a week every weekend. We would like play enough to where it's part of our lives and to give our friends and family a place to go to errors in judgement to where we can laugh at them at a later date. We'd also like to make new friends and fans of what we do to cater to our enormous ego's. If this sounds appealing, please reply.
