New mobile grooming business with an established client base! Minimum 3 years experience, preferably in a mobile setting. I need someone who is not only GREAT with dogs, but dependable, trustworthy and a self starter. I'm looking to fill two positions. Must have a clean MVD record and successfully pass a background and drug test upon hiring. 1099 employee. Minimum requirement: 3 years professional grooming experience (or Graduation from an approved Grooming Certification Program) Outgoing, down-to-earth personality Reliable and flexible on scheduling needs including weekends and possible holidays, as these are our busiest times. Knowledge of dogs, love & patience of dogs, feel completely comfortable working with dogs Able to groom cats is a plus but not required. Must possess basic understanding of animal handling skills Familiarity and expertise using grooming tools Capable of interpreting technical grooming requirements Knowledge of trimming and grooming hair, palm pads, ears, wrinkles and private regions of dogs Consistently show creative finesse and manipulation of grooming utensils including clippers, shears and combs. Experience attaching bandanas, bows and spraying puppy perfumes onto dogs Knowledge of matted fur removal and detangling Understanding of external parasite removal process and notification procedures Required Skills: Time Management Communication Self-Motivation Organization Cleanliness Ability to work alone (depending on demand, you may have a bather) Being up to date on grooming techniques/skills Basic first aid (signs of stress, accidental clipping, dog fainting) email inquiries only!
