Maya - quiet, loving and super affectionate!

Description

We will let Maya’s foster family for the past nine months say it much better than we could: "Of all the dogs we’ve fostered, Maya is the most timid – the sweetest – and the most deserving of human affection. The fact she lived in a shelter so long shows up in different ways: She’s still frightened by the sounds of trucks or loud noises. Her favorite time to walk is in the quiet of the evening. She can be as timid as a shy two-year-old, but once you’ve earned her trust, you’ll be rewarded with sweet nudges for attention. She needs a “safe spot”, a doghouse or dogbed in a sheltered spot away from noise or intrusion. She’s definitely a house dog, preferring to remain in the comfort of home close to her “people”. She comes numerous times during the day for petting and assurances of being loved. Rather than being inquisitive, she loves a set routine, arranging the blankets on her bed exactly as she wants them - and objecting to changes in the direction of her daily walks. She likes to ride in the car, but hides on the floor at the sound of large trucks. Her ideal match would be people who live in a quiet, peaceful setting who aren’t looking for an active, outdoorsy-type dog, but a sweet, loyal companion who loves the comforts of home. The look she gives you with her beautiful brown eyes will melt you! "
