I have 2 Jobs to fill. Looking to fill a part time or full time herdsmen position and a part time calf feeder position. You will be working on our 140 cow organic dairy farm. We milk cows with 2 robotic milkers and pay close attention to animal health. Herdsmen Position: (part time or full time) We are looking for someone to take care of and train fresh cows, work with troublesome animals in the robot, groom stalls, move pastures, administer vacations, clean robots, scrape barns, along with several other tasks. Hours: Looking for someone to mainly work weekday mornings from 5:30am until duties are complete, which is usually before noon. May occasionally need someone to work an afternoon shift from 4-6:30. Weekend shifts will be limited. Total hours could be as little 20 hours a week but as much as 50. It all depends on what YOU are looking for. Calf feeder position: (part time) We are also looking for someone to feed calves and heifers, scrape barns and clean robots. This job is only for the morning shift, 5:30-9:30ish. Could be 5 days a week or 3 days a week. Whatever fits into your schedule. Very flexible!! Requirements: Must have a driver’s license and vehicle to get to work. Must be able to drive skid steer, or willing to learn. Must be on time and trustworthy Must be able to work with others, be task oriented, and pay attention to details. Housing is not available.
