The Trumper who couldn't breathe

Description

Darrell was short of breath. He had a fever, and a very sore throat. His cousin, Billy Jeff, took him to the county hospital. The cousins were both very suspicious of the medical community, but Darrell was desperate, as he was too weak to stand, or even open a can of Heidelberg. After initially refusing to wear masks, a requirement for entry to the hospital, the hillbillies finally complied. Darrell was desperate. Both of the cousins tested positive for COVID-19. Darrell could feel the grip of death, tighten around his neck. "Gimme that vackseen, Doc. I don't wanna die!" The doctor informed Darrell that it was too late for the vaccine. "Vaccines are preventive, not curative. All we can do is put you on ventilation, and give you drugs that might help you survive. If you pull through, we can vaccinate you, to decrease the likelihood of being reinfected." Darrell was angry, and tried to punch the physician. However, he was too weak to launch his fist. He collapsed on the floor. Billy Jeff yelled something incoherent about suing the hospital, and the government. He ran out of the hospital to buy a six pack, a copy of Hustler, and a bag of Cheetos.
