Rehoming Senior Husky Mix

Description

I have developed post covid symptoms and after 6 months of illness, I have decided to rehome my husky mix, Daisy. I am no longer able to provide her with the exercise she needs for good health. About Daisy: I adopted her two years ago from Albuquerque Humane society. It was her third time being at the pound. Once home I realized she had also been abused in the past. She was never aggressive, just fearful. I worked with her until I could have her as an emotional support dog. She was out with me constantly before the pandemic. We even spent hours at the mall with many compliments from shop owners about how good she was. She is 11, gentle with children and cats, vet says she has the joints and energy of an 8 yr old. Before I got sick, we walked 3-5 miles a day, so she needs someone who can exercise her well, or has a yard where she can run. She is NOT trained to be off-leash. If you try it in an unconfined area, you'll be in for a nice jog. I have food, dishes, leash, collar, emotional support harness, nail clippers, and brush to send with her. Her shots are current. I will not send her to an inexperienced owner, or one who is abusive. If you are interested, please provide 2 references. Requests without references will be rejected.
