Description
We've all said it, "I laughed so hard my sides hurt." There's a reason why. Most of us go through life with shallow, rapid breathing which does not exercise our diaphragm muscle. Laughter causes deep breathing which does exercise the diaphragm. Exercising the diaphragm causes temporary soreness. The soreness goes away quickly because it's just fun to laugh.
