08/08/2021 IMPORTANT UPDATE Someone has been copy-pasting my posts and slightly changing them. Please be very careful with "reptile rescues"! I forgot to put this post back up, sorry... its been down for like two months at this point? Ultimately, things are going well! Thank you so much to everyone who's provided new and loving homes to these reptiles. ______________________________ Hi! My name is Kate. I'm an intermediate reptile and invertebrate hobbyist and I am very passionate about snake keeping in particular. What am I all about? ______________________________ Adoption, Rehabilitation, and Rehoming! - I have years of experience with colubrids, pythons, and boas! - I am happy to offer an adoption payment! - I can pick up the animal within a reasonable distance - Healthy reptiles will go to new homes - All adoptable reptiles will come with a full setup! - Available reptiles will be listed on this post (but also get their own post in the pets tab) ______________________________ "Rehoming / Adoption Fees" I have some harsh and lengthy opinions on these. Rehoming fees should be different from selling for profit, but unfortunately that phrase often gets misused. Unfortunately, I can't give away these animals for free.(in most cases) Fees discourage reselling/scalping, and they help me afford enclosures, food, and treatments for my reptiles. "Rehoming fees" will never exceed two hundred dollars under any circumstances. That being said, I'm extremely flexible. Please don't hesitate to ask - I'll waive them entirely if I'm confident you'll make a good owner! ______________________________ [Available reptiles] - none at the moment, but thank you for your interest! ______________________________ Care Crises! Feel free to ask me about: - Enclosure setup - Feeding and handling - Health and medical questions ______________________________ Buying and/or reselling: - Tanks - Heating and lighting supplies - Decorations - Feeder animals ______________________________ I have experience with geckos, small lizards, and all sorts of snakes. Rat/corn snakes, hognoses, as well as pythons and larger snakes like boas! If I can't take in your reptile, I can connect you to other keepers or organizations for rehoming. I am always looking to expand my network of reptile keepers! If you are willing, and have the space and experience, I may send people your way if I'm running low on space, or if the person rehoming lives very far away. I am happy to drive pretty much anywhere for pickup / dropoff, just let me know! Texts, phone calls, and emails are fine any time of day!
