Staff for Children's Fishing Program - Immediate Start

Children's fishing program on Cape Cod is seeking staff for the remainder of summer 2021. Applicants must be 18+. Previous experience working with kids preferred. Must be comfortable working on boats and enjoy working with kids. Marine science or outdoor education background a plus but not required. This summer job is both demanding and fun. The position requires long days in the sun (on the water) and an emphasis on child safety. Candidate should engage well with children and have positive energy and enthusiasm around kids. Must be comfortable helping change bait (squid) and doing deckhand related job tasks. Fishing experience is a plus, but not required if you wish to learn. Be willing to work hard, get your hands dirty, and enjoy working with kids. Must be professional, reliable and dependable. A sense of humor is required. This job requires helping kids with basic fishing skills, engaging in a fun a light manner with kids, baiting fishing hooks, interacting professionally with parents and ensuring that children are conducting themselves in a safe manner at all times. Pay rate is $23/hour. Work period is now through August 27th. Our program operates from Monday through Thursday of each week, with Friday as a rain day. Full or part-time position is available.
