Seeking experienced Landscaper for Edible Landscaping business

We are looking to hire an experienced landscaper who has a passion for ecological and organic land care. This is a great opportunity to get in at the ground level of a small business, with plans to grow and eventually bring in other business partners. We are looking for someone who wants to do this kind of rewarding work as a career in the long run. Between now and the rest of the landscape season (which will end in early December), we have 20-30 hours a week for the right person. Starting in April of next year we will have 40+ hours a week for you We are an organic landscaping company that specializes in edible gardening and foodscaping. We design and install anything from raised vegetable beds, to in-ground gardens, as well as incorporating edible plants (fruit/nut trees, perennials) to an existing landscape. Our maintenance and seasonal work includes veggie/edible garden prep and planting, mulching, cleanups, weeding, pruning, tree and shrub planting, plant care, garden fencing, drip irrigation installation, etc. We also teach workshops/classes, do consultations and run gardening programs for kids at various locations. Responsibilities and Duties: - General Landscaping labor such as mulching, pruning, hedging, edging, mowing, blowing, weed whacking... - Gardening Tasks such as planting, thinning, weeding, pruning, dividing, harvesting, fertilizing, staking, and amending soil, etc - Raised bed construction - Irrigation installs - Some nursery work in our specialty nursery - Communicating with customers while on the job as needed Qualifications and Skills: - Previous Landscaping Experience (please include references) - A reliable method of transportation - Basic gardening/farming knowledge or experience - Ability to use basic power tools - Ability to drive a truck with a trailer - Ability to haul a full wheelbarrow of soil up a steep hill (that's very important) - Ability to be left alone on jobs without needing to be micro-managed - Professional work ethic, clothing and hygiene Job Types: Full-time, Part-time Pay: starting at $20.00 to $25.00 /hour, depending on experience. *We do not allow or condone any discrimination based on race, sexual/gender orientation, nationality, religion, age, etc...
