SUMMARY: The Custodian is responsible for maintaining the facilities in such a manner as to ensure a clean and safe environment. Perform housekeeping and custodial tasks in accordance with Gosnold’s established standards of sanitation and safety. Attention to detail and some customer assistance and service are required. The Custodian must have access to a personal vehicle. ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS/DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES: • Performing minor interior and exterior maintenance tasks. • Knowledge and ability to use various custodial and maintenance equipment and to perform light maintenance tasks. • Follow directions and work independently within an assigned routine. • Ability to work and maintain boundaries in settings populated by substance abuse and mental health patients. • Perform other duties as assigned. MINIMUM KNOWLEDGE, EXPERIENCE, AND SKILLS REQUIRED: The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skills, and/or abilities required to perform the job. Education: • High School Diploma. Experience: • Working knowledge of basic housekeeping equipment and supplies with preference given to Healthcare environment. • Experience as custodian, housekeeper, or maintenance person. Skills: • Ability to stand for extended periods, bend, and lift and carry up to 50 pounds. • Knowledge and understanding of sanitation, cleanliness, safety and facility upkeep.
