Volunteers are needed to help clean Bridge 26 and remove vegetation. Bridge 26 is .3 miles south of the Washington Sailing Marina.
The Friends of Mount Vernon Trail will be cleaning Bridge 26 which is approximately .3 miles south of the Washington Sailing Marina. This bridge is known to be very slippery when wet due in part to mold and mildew accumulation. We will also remove overgrown vegetation
Volunteers will perform some of the following work:
Using pruners and loppers to cut vegetationCarrying and stacking vegetationApplying a cleaning solution to deck boardsScrubbing deck boards with a brushOperating a power washerRemoving excess water with a squeegeeWhat to Bring:
WaterSunscreenGloves (We'll have a few pair on hand as well)What to Wear:
Close toed shoesLong sleeves and pants to prevent scrapes and the possibility of poison ivy contactWhere to Meet:
