One of Islay’s smokiest malts, Ardbeg can also claim to be one of the island’s sweetest. Heavy peating, long fermentation and the use of a purifier pipe in the spirit still give this whisky its fruitness, smokiness, and oily texture. The wood management and curiosity of Legendary Master Distiller Dr. Bill Lumsden has benefited the whisky with roundness, complexity and diversity of flavors.
