Grandma’s House is Chicago’s coziest poetry show and, after more than a year, it’s slowly coming back! Join us on August 12th at 6:30 for a Grandma’s House pop-up show at The Joinery. Come to share your poetry, watch our featured poet, and build community. Whether you are an experienced poet, first time reader, or just want to listen, you are welcome at Grandma’s House! You can sign up for an open mic slot at the Sign Up Genius link when you reserve your seat. Please reserve your seat before you sign up to insure that you’re able to attend. Reserve your seat. Walk-ins will not be permitted so that we do not exceed capacity. Wear Your Mask. Masks must be worn properly, regardless of vaccination status. Masks may be removed while you're performing or actively drinking. Masks must be worn inside at all times. Maintain your distance. Keep six feet of space between each other as much as possible. Accessibility The show will be held outside in a courtyard space accessible from the sidewalk. The bar and restrooms are accessible by ramp or a small set of stairs.
