Join BAYPIE for a summer hike followed by a happy hour! Meet other international educators as we hike it off together! About:Join BAYPIE on Saturday, August 21st at 2:00 pm for a hike followed by a happy hour! Choose to join BAYPIE for the hike, the happy hour, or both! We will do a hike through Pedro Point Headlands in Pacifica, CA followed by happy hour at Humble Sea Brewing Co. Location: Hike Trailhead - Linda Mar Ace Hardware at 560 San Pedro Ave, Pacifica, CA 94044 TIP: Free street parking on San Pedro Ave (don’t park in the Ace Hardware parking lot) Happy Hour - Humble Sea Brewing Co. in Pacifica at 5560 Pacific Coast Hwy, Pacifica, CA 94044 The brewery is located across the street from the trailhead. Details: Meeting point for the hike: Park on San Pedro Ave, and meet in front of the Ace Hardware at 2:00pm (look for someone with a BAYPIE shirt or tote bag). No restrooms at the trailhead but the shopping center across the street has a grocery store where you can probably use the restroom. Trail Map: We’ll be hiking through the Pedro Point Headlands and will do the Ace Trail to Pedro Point Loop. Distance: The hike is 3.3 miles and is rated as moderate What to bring/wear: WaterHat/sunscreen - in case it’s sunnyLayers - in case it’s foggy (gotta love the Bay Area)Pants or high socks - reviews mention poison oak on the trailActivities:Please let us know if you don’t intend on hiking so that we don’t wait for you at the trailhead! We’ll send a message with the organizer’s phone number prior to the event so you can communicate with them if you’re running late to the trailhead.
