Need helpful composting information

So I want to get rid of the disposal and start composting. The problem is I have no idea of how to start. ? There is a lot of different information on the internet, (as per usual), I've looked at a bunch of different composters and I think I know what I want, which is a 2 cylinder composter that rotates. But again that's just from looking at ads and discerning what the reviews say. If if you're reading this, and you're feeling generous, if you would be so kind as to take a minute and educate me a little bit on what type of composter and how to start, I would really appreciate it!
