We are rolling out the red carpet for this inspiring night of sharing how our organization supports the medical families in our community. Join Henrik’s Heroes for the first annual Golden Stars Gala. This fundraising event will help highlight the amazing work our organization does in the community, shine a light on childhood cancer awareness and award brave children with a trophy on stage who have conquered an amazing medical feat, such as cancer, or battle a medical illness every day. Enjoy food and drinks, a silent auction and guest speakers as we gather for an incredible cause. We can’t wait to celebrate with you! About Henrik's Heroes From diagnosis, through treatment and recovery, we provide faith-based support as we walk alongside families through the life-changing events of having a child with a medical condition. We create custom Warrior Dolls to empower children with medical conditions and to help better understand their treatment, provide Go-Bags that offer hope to newly diagnosed families, donate toys to local children’s hospitals and clinics, and offer Wish Gifts to children battling a major illness. Go Gold! Pediatric cancer is the leading cause of death by disease for children under the age of 14. Only a small percentage of government funds are allocated towards pediatric cancer research. In 2012, September was proclaimed as National Childhood Cancer Awareness Month to shine a light on the realities of childhood cancer and emphasize the importance of life-saving research. The gold ribbon is the symbol of childhood cancer awareness. Gold symbolizes a precious metal of the highest worth, making it the perfect representation for our precious children.
