Description

A beginners class to glass cutting and fusing. In this class you will learn some of the very basics of glass fusing—the types of glass used, the processes involved, the use of a kiln, and the do’s and don’ts of fusing. You will also be introduced to some very basic glass cutting and grinding techniques in order to make this 10” suncatcher. Everything you need will be provided, but we do request that you bring eye protection. If you don’t wear glasses, you can buy plastic glasses at Home Depot, Lowes or other hardware stores. Once you have properly prepared the glass and actually made your suncatcher, I will bring your artwork to my studio where I will put them in my kiln to do the actual fusing and finish them. Once done, I will return them to Kindred Collections and you will be notified when they can be picked up. Please note: Because this is a hands on class which requires my full attention, I’ve asked that we limit this to 6 people, so sign up early. Ages 16 and older.
