Description
T-Rex is a gem of a dog!
He was brought into the Wags Hope and Healing adoption program through our partners at the Bastrop Animal Shelter. They reached out to us when a stray dog with a severe leg injury was brought in. After picking him up, we realized that this was an old injury that had healed improperly and unfortunately, due to the displacement of his bone, our Veterinary team determined that his leg would not be able to be saved. Our expert surgeons took great care of him and the amputation went smoothly.
Rex then went to a foster home, where he spent the next few weeks healing from his surgery and we began to get to know his personality a bit better. Rex is amazing!
✓ Dog friendly
✓ Kid friendly (he loves when his 9 year old foster sister reads to him)
✓ People friendly (he loves everyone he meets)
✓ Cat friendly (he has met cats out on walks and at one of our team members homes without issue)
✓ Baby squirrel friendly (he alerted his foster family to some baby squirrels on the ground and they were able to be reunited with their mom!)
✓ House trained
✓ Crate trained
✓ Well-behaved and eager to learn!
Really, we cannot say enough great things about Rex, he is a wonderful dog that just needs his people to find him! If you are interested in adopting Rex, please fill out the Wags Hope and Healing Adoption Questionnaire here and one of our team members will be in touch soon!
