Griffith Rubber Mills, a leader in rubber manufacturing for over 100 years, has an exciting opportunity for a full time Maintenance Technician to support our Portland, OR plant. SKILLS AND ABILITIES • Plumbing • Welding stick and wire feed • Acetylene torch • Fabrication • Hydraulics and pneumatics • Electrical • Boiler and steam systems • Extruders and Injection presses • Preventive Maintenance scheduling • Reading prints and schematics • Lock out/Tag out and Safety • Excellent verbal and written communications skills • Ability to lift 80 lbs. • Resourceful problem solver • Must be a morning person to meet the needs of the early morning start-ups DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITY • Daily Plant start-up • Mold cleaning and changes • Maintain all equipment and repair documentation • Source and obtain necessary parts and supplies • Responds quickly to equipment breakdown at all hours plant is operating EDUCATION AND QUALIFICATIONS • Highly motivated • Upbeat, professional attitude • Dependable team player who demonstrates flexibility to respond to urgent needs • High School diploma or equivalent • Valid driver’s license • Ability to pass pre-employment screening BENEFITS AND COMPENSATION • Medical, dental, vision and life insurance • Paid personal time and sick leave • 401k • $25/hour, dependent on experience COMPANY CULTURE • Manufacturing plant • Fast pace Resumes accepted from qualified applicants only.
