Classical guitar

Description

Hello, I am looking to improve my guitar skills and play with others. I have another ad seeking the same. I have a doctorate in music composition and my primary instrument is piano. I have led jazz combos in Texas, played in jazz lab bands at UNT, played in rock bands etc., all on piano. I do not want to play piano at this time. I want to get to a similar level on guitar. My goal is to have fun, improve, and play with others at a similar level. What I am looking for is another guitar player(s), bass player, horn, sax, etc., who would like to play classical/modern music as a duet/trio/quartet... while I play the classical guitar. If you play guitar, you should be able to read music, standard notation preferably, or if you read tab, the music that we agree to play should have the option of standard notation (for myself)--tab doubles the amount of pages I have to turn and adds too much space. I am also open to play with a bass player, cellist, sax, or other complimentary lower or higher range instrument. My performance level on guitar is late-intermediate to early advanced. My sight reading is two levels below this. I can read music on guitar well enough that you can "hear" what the piece sounds like...slow, but steady. I can learn "easy-early intermediate" pieces in 20 minutes or less... I can learn intermediate pieces quickly with practice (a day). Late-intermediate and advanced pieces will take longer for me. I like Leo Brouwer, Bach, Mozart, Guiliani, Carcassi, Chopin, etc, for guitar. I'm open to other composers and/arranging pieces too.
