If you walk your dog on sidewalks or pavement or hot dirt/sand it's probably too hot in summer and WILL burn their pads!! Best way to check for ground heat...take off YOUR shoes and socks and start walking for same length of time with your dog. Day after day, walking on BURNT pads is crippling not to mention PAINFUL!!
