Full time handyman/property supervisor

Steaven Jones Development Company (SJDC) is looking for a Handyman who is primarily responsible for the overall cleanliness and appearance of SJDC properties, as well as being an ambassador for SJDC and making its tenants feel well taken care of. Responsibilities: • Keep premises, grounds, and parking lots of SJDC-related properties in clean and orderly condition. • Perform heavy cleaning duties such as operating motor-driven cleaning equipment (power washers), mop floors, wash walls and glass, and remove rubbish. • Clean bathrooms and kitchenette and re-stock supplies. • Keep an inventory of cleaning and building supplies and tools and make timely and appropriate requisitions; • Perform routine maintenance activities: change light bulbs, make minor repairs, do minor touch-up painting, upkeep of cleaning equipment. • Notify management of need for larger-scale repairs and additions. • Transport small equipment or tools or furniture between properties. • Perform other duties as assigned. • Be available for scheduled 'on-call' time for emergencies as a first responder for fire alarms, security alarms or elevator failures or other severe threats to property. • Meeting with vendors periodically to assess problems and determine the plan of action. • Meter readings on a monthly basis. • Preparing time sheets so that the handyman’s time can be allocated among the properties.
