We are seeking a Truck Painter for a full-time position Compensation: Negotiable based on experience ($45,000 - $60,000) Role Description: You will apply finishes to trucks, trailers, tankers, and various metal fabrications. Applicants should feel comfortable performing physical tasks in a warehouse environment. Duties and Responsibilities: Prepares various surfaces for painting by washing, scraping, burning, sanding, sandblasting or other means as necessary. Mixes, matches, and blends various paints, enamels, lacquers, varnishes, stains and special protective coatings to achieve desired color, consistency, and drying properties. Paints using brush, roller, spray gun or other applicator. Mix and apply paint or other coating Follow all safety regulations Inspect finished work to ensure it is done according to quality standards. Follow production schedules & communicate with supervisor on priority when needed. Monitor, order and maintain supplies supporting the paint booth / repair work area. Maintain a clean and organized working environment and proper storage and care of tools and equipment. Requirements: 5+ years of Industrial painting required Must have expert knowledge on how to run a paint booth Experience of wet painting and surface preparation techniques. Bilingual communication skills a plus (English and Spanish) Ability to work independently or part of a small team and perform required tasks Ability to recognize and properly repair defects in paint finish (ie. runs, peels).
