Long established NJ developer/builder/architecture/engineering. Full time, all-seasons position for non-union Heavy Equipment Operator, 5 to 10 years of full time safe, effective Operator employment. Need experience on underground utilities excavation/ installation, skilled sitework on large, high rise residential projects. Long term oppty, multiple projects, many years of work ahead. EXPERIENCE & SKILLS NEEDED: -5 to 10 years machine operating, inspections, basic maintenance on excavators, cats, backhoes, skid steers, lulls, trackhoes, dump trucks, etc. Willing + physically able to work hands-on, boots-on-the-ground as needed to guide site workers, shoot grades, assist with layouts, etc. -The Work: excavating & installing underground utilities; excavating & regrading streets and large ground areas; performing some sitework, uses laser to shoot grades, stakeout areas; reads plans & drawings as relevant to for machine operating. Skills with all tools, materials, equipment necessary to perform machine operation work effectively and independently. - English required. Spanish would also useful but not required. ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS: -Live in, or reasonable commute to Jersey City. -Proof of legal status to work in U.S. + current U.S. drivers license + social security card. -Some OSHA certifications; other operator training, certifications are an advantage. -Past employer references.
