Chippewa County is accepting applications for a vacant Operator IV – Paver Screed position within the Highway Department. The job duties of the Operator IV - Paver Screed include the ability to use a variety of heavy equipment for the construction and maintenance of roads and bridges. Winter maintenance activities will be required for this position. Minimum Qualifications: High School diploma or GED equivalent required. Minimum three (3) years’ experience in heavy equipment operation on a routine basis required. Must be able to operate a variety of equipment relating to construction and maintenance of roads and bridges. Road maintenance experience preferred. Class A CDL without restrictions E and L required. N-Tanker Endorsement required within six (6) months from date of hire. MSHA certification for work in mines preferred. Starting Wage: $22.50 - $24.30 per hour depending on qualifications plus an excellent fringe benefit package.
