Drummer Wanted

Description

Band forming, originals. Be reliable and committed and able to play the drums really well, 18--25 with lots of paying time under your belt. We are 30+ but we're done with the older drummer guys. The older drummers are too picky, want to be a producer A&R type, complain a lot and from what I can tell they say they want to be in a band but sure don't act like it, given all the moaning and groaning they do. Somehow, the idea of travel to rehearsal does not bode well with these folks. Anything over half a mile or half an hour is too far for them. Sorry, drummer guys, the perfect situation is seldom right across the street from your residence. And then there's always the issue that they want serious money for average (or slightly above average playing) and a significant amount of them will hold out for nothing less than a walk in paid touring situation to get them out of barista or office work. They can rot in those jobs for all I care. And they will. I have never seen nor heard of an unmotivated musician getting rescued from oblivion while sitting around waiting for someone to pull them out of it. There is no reward for lazy and the world doesn't owe them anything. Nothing is going to happen for that type of musician, because good successful bands have members that make good things happen. It really is that simple. No slackers. Slackers are all for being in a band because it's cool to be in a band, until it's time for rehearsal and then they don't want to show up. If there is a reliability issue it won't be an ongoing issue for long. Send a sample of something that is uptempo and displays your skill level.
