Description
We are looking to hire a long-term employee to manage warehouse operations. We distribute live frogs and invertebrates to pet stores throughout the country.
Responsibilities include:
Pack orders (live frogs, inverts, etc)
Clean animal enclosures and water dishes
Unpack feeder cricket boxes
Feed animals (amphibians, inverts, etc)
Once per week trips to the airport to pick up shipments
Manage packing supply inventory
Maintain clean and orderly warehouse
This is a part-time position (+/-20 hours per week), but if you're successful with the above tasks over time, your job responsibilities/opportunities can expand significantly and may include benefits and higher wages. In other words, if you're good, we'll make the effort to keep you.
The starting wage is $16 per hour.
A successful candidate for this job must be:
Prompt/on-time (no flakes)
Ethical
Attention to detail
Self-starter (not in need of being micro-managed)
Able to work Monday through Thursday
A background in amphibians/inverts is NOT necessary. Some of our most successful employees in the past had ZERO experience with critters.
