Come join us for a Malaysian Style Social Gathering & Picnic Outdoors! Jemput Datang and join our Masyarakat Malaysia Muhibbah Picnic!After 2 long years of sheltering in place, it is time for us to get back out and meet up/”berkenalan’ in person again. We hope to celebrate Merdeka & enjoy the summer with old & new friends alike – after all, the weather now feels exactly like home! Of course, when we Malaysians get together there must be “MAKAN!” We want to make sure it is a pleasant & SAFE social gathering due to the current circumstances. Hence, we have set up the following guidelines & SOP for ALL participants. Participants MUST wear mask at all times during the event except during eating and drinking. Participants SHOULD be fully vaccinated prior to attending the event. Kids ages 12 and under are exempted. Participants that are contributing food to the event must pre-packaged all food in individual portions. There will be NO communal dishes being served on site as previous potluck picnics. o Single attendee - Please prepare food for minimum 5 Pax. o Attendee with multiple family members – Please prepare food for minimum 10 Pax. o Suggested food items to contribute – Nasi Lemak, Mee Goreng, Meehoon Goreng or any specific specialty you would like to share. o Suggested drinks to contribute – water bottles, juice packs, sodas, ice or any specialty drinks you would like to share. • PLEASE CLICK ON THIS LINK TO INPUT YOUR FOOD CONTRIBUTION BEFORE REGISTERING FOR THE EVENT. About the Venue Nottoway Park (9537 Courthouse Rd Vienna VA) is a beautiful & spacious community park that features sports fields & courts, children's playground picnic space & a historic rental estate. It is situated in Fairfax County, Northern Virginia. You will be able to spot the picnic shelter & the gathering spot once you have park your vehicle.
