Join DWA for our August gathering at Pavy Studio! Join DWA for our August gathering at Pavy Studio! We'll meet at the studio, located in the Atrium at Gordon Square, and hear Cathi + Francis Pavy discuss their work and more. Wine will be provided, but snacks will be limited due to COVID precautions. To top things off, we'll be raffling for a fun door prize! Please remember to wear your mask! We can't wait to see you there. Designing Women of Acadiana (DWA) was founded in the fall of 2016 as a platform for local women in architecture, design and creative industries. Since its founding, DWA has broadened its mission: As advocates of design in the fields of architecture, interior design, and construction Designing Women of Acadiana's mission is to expand horizons for the power of design and its impact on social and economic issues. Our initial step has been to expose and educate women in Acadiana on several different aspects of design through our monthly meetings and quarterly panel discussions. Our cross-discipline approach to design, research and education makes this group truly unique and powerful. The members of DWA come from a range of backgrounds including; architects, intern architects, project managers, builders, designers, interior designers, graphic designers, landscape architects, and women interested in design. We are a dynamic organization which encourages and supports women in Acadiana to meet their full potential and become champions in their fields and in their communities.
